Overcome communication barriers, leave your comfort zone and connect with the world: At Babbel, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn a new language.
The Babbel Language Scholarship was created to give students in the fields of Humanities, Languages, Tourism, Business or Communication a chance to take their language studies to the next level. Whether you’re just getting started, completing your undergraduate degree, you want to study abroad or enroll in a language program outside of your regular course – whatever your future holds – the study of foreign languages and a language scholarship will help you get there!
Starting March 1st, 2022, you can apply for the Babbel Language Scholarship which includes a 12-month Babbel subscription to all language courses and a £2000 cash prize. And even if you don’t win, we’d still like to acknowledge your efforts! Each complete application that reaches us will be rewarded with 3-month of free access to Babbel.
Test first lesson of every course for freeHow to apply
1. Your motivational essay
As part of your application, we ask you to submit a 1000-word motivational essay on the following topic: “How speaking a foreign language can transform your life for the better.”
What’s your story? At Babbel, we believe that languages open up new horizons and help us connect with other cultures and people. Languages can be transformational not only for you but for others who you might meet as a result. We would like to hear from you, and about your own experiences with language as a catalyst for positive change. In no less than 1000 words, please elaborate how speaking a foreign language can transform your life for the better. For example, you might be able to access new opportunities abroad and get a job in a country where the locals don’t speak your native tongue.

To apply for the scholarship, please send us all the information listed below, along with your motivational essay.
